Galkin produced the world's only automated application machine for applying hook or loop Die-Cut VELCOIN® Fasteners. Available in hook or loop, various sizes, adhesives, and colors. Velcoins are used for Point of Purchase Displays, Sample Cards, Presentation Folders and Trade Show Booths. Other applications include packaging for DVD's and CDs, software, folders, envelopes, eyeglass cases, and automotive parts assembly. Previously, using round hook and loop, or Velcoins, was a daunting task. Manufacturers would use large groups of temporary or contract labor to deal with the laborious application of the dots, each operator having to peel the round coin off of the backing, reset the dot location on their fingers, locate the precise application location of the round velcro dot, and apply moderate to hard finger pressure on the product to insure a good seal.

This process would then be repeated thousands of times throughout the course of the day, by dozens of workers, if necessary for the production contract.

In response to this extremely costly and labor intensive operation, Galkin designers produced the revolutionary GAP6800 Velcoin / round hook and loop applicator.

The GAP6800 applies the round hook and loop directly to the product, without the operator ever having to touch the fasteners. As quickly as the operator can load and unload the product, the GAP6800 will precisely load and apply the round hook and loop with the exact amount of pressure required for a good seal.

The GAP6800 eliminates all operator safety issues associated with carpal tunnel syndrome, and repetitive stress disorders. Operators either activate a foot pedal or a light hand switch to engage the application cycle of the GAP6800.

With the GAP6800 applying as many as 50 pieces per minute, it's easy to see how 1 worker can do the work of 6 or more manual labor workers.
